Pour la 3DS, en cumulé, on est à 4,9 millions d'unités. Et, cette année, on prévoit d'encore en écouler 650.000.

Nous n'observons aucune cannibalisation. Bien au contraire. La semaine dernière, nous avons célébré notre millionième vente de "Pokémon Lune et Soleil", sorti fin novembre. C'est la meilleure vente de toute l'histoire de Pokémon en France.

3DS has sold 4.7m as of 2016 and the forecast  for 2017 is 700k , the same with 2016! 3DS has sold 200k between January-May ( somewhat above same time frame last year sales ) , Nintendo expects another 650k units sold till the end of the year in France,  meaning that they have raised their expectations.

Also, Pokemon S/M makes a history in France by being the best selling Pokemon games ever there, has exceeded 1m ( at retail ? ) as of May.

Nintendo said they had a great deal of content coming to 3DS, I didn't believe them but they proved me wrong. But 2018 I'd imagine they'd be full steam ahead on Switch content. We're living in the swan song era of 3DS I think.

Thread updated with news about Pokémon S/M being the best selling pokemon games ever in France!

I remember when Nintendo cited the 17% of buyers where people that had never played Pokémon games before...

You find that surprising, but in Europe a huge amount of Pokemon R/B sales ( 8.9m )  is from your country. (  almost 4m )

You mean the UK?

And heh, people say the UK hates Nintendo. Turns out it's actually the rest of Europe that hates Nintendo, only around 4m sales for one of the best games ever in mainland Europe? For shame!

It was the debut of franchise Ka-pi ( 1999 )...Sales in the UK are extraordinary and irregular for obvious reasons , perhaps the anime in the UK was far more popular than in other big european markets then...

 

Now, Pokemon S/M sales in the UK are maybe somewhat more than half of those in France...
