I'd rather them port Samus' Return and other 3ds games.

But I have a Wii U already. I want to play Xenoblade Chronicles X and Bayonetta 2 on the go!
Mother 3 on VC, not even asking for a remake.

Seriously. Forget the salty fans- if it means more people get to enjoy legendary games such as Mario Kart or Mario Maker, then so be it |
Buy a Wii U, I'm allowed to be as salty as I want. Taking away from new games just to make stupid ports.
Mario maker 2, dkc 6, paper mario 6, etc. I can already tell you, after seeing what ports are coming to Switch, give up any hope on story/1-player games, they're only going to port (if any more at all) multiplayer, non single player focused games like smash, Mario maker, Mario kart, etc.

The concept that ports take away from new game development is fallacious, to be honest. A port requires much less time to create than a new game. Most of the work is already done for a port. That is why most ports are handled by small programming teams and not full development studios. It'd take a dozen ports to equal a full game in time, budget, and overall resources.
@Topic I want Okami for the Switch. That would be so amazing, but unfortunatley Capcom owns the IP.

Metroid Prime 4, Pikmin 4 and Fire Emblem Switch are in development for the Switch. All single-player focused game.

What i wouldn't give for a Mario 3D World port...
Add Captain Toad with some extra levels and call it "definitive edition"!
Well, I won't be buying any of them since I already own them. I want new games.
