Yes, same credit on spearheading it as making it after you say everyone wants it..

Just look number of ports/remasters of 3rd parties on PS4/XB1 in their 1st year and, than look number of Sony games that are remasters/ports in 1st year on PS4, and you will easily realise that didnt "became standard only due to Sony".

DO you mind to guess who got more flaming for it?

And Ports collection was already a thing on PS3 and criticized as well (not even going on the old multi-games catridges) the collections and remakes of sony were always on the same criticizing of people saying that only really really old games deserved it

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

On gaming cite people will flame more about Sony, Nintendo or MS than they will about 3rd parties.

Ports collection is one thing, but tons of reamster and ports that become totaly usual is totally different thing. Just look number of Sony games that are remasters/ports in 1st year on PS4 and compare that with PS3 or PS2 1st year.

So you do get that Sony got most of the flack and pushed more for it, good.

I'm very happy that people that were pissed at Sony for making remakes are now very happy.

It's not really that people are happy about ports or remakes coming to the switch (although, what games have been remade and released on the Switch so far..??), but consider it is a good idea, considering that the Wii U was a failure of a system but still have games people would like to play. There are some non-Nintendo fans wanting this as well, because they simply don't want to buy a Wii U for them. There are Nintendo fans completely against and angry with the idea. There's also to consider that Nintendo has only ported 2 games over to the system, meanwhile there are new games releasing on it and are still lined up in the future. I feel you looked at a few comments and made a generalization, while ignoring other posts that disprove this.

They should release wii u ports between new releases to avoid long droughts. There's plenty to choose from and I'm pretty sure they'd sell well too.

Having enough people interested in the remaster I'm all in for they to be made. I just found funny that some people that flamed Sony on it are now very supportive.

For me Nintendo could be even remastering the First Donkey Kong if fans would buy it.

There wasnt that much WIi U owners in the first place which is one of the main reasons why Switch even exists. If there are no games on the system and people dont like ports then they wouldnt be buying the Switch in the first place as its doing much better than Wii U did and its not even holidays. The ports have been the in the top ten selling games worldwide on a weekly basis since they debuted, i think you know what i meant, but just in case, theres more clarification. So from a business perspective you're still wrong cause they are selling fantastic so clearly people want them whether its for the portablitly or not. Hell the Swtich version of BotW is doing better than WIi u despite the latter having more owners.

Fair enough on the other two but you dont think the Switch will have enough new games that will overshadow the remasters?

Please don't make the "more HW automatically means more SW sold" be invalid, that is assured by multiple people that if a platform is double size all SW will sell double.

sure, for the most part, but then you're going to have to explain the times when that wasnt the case. For example COD on Wii selling much less than their PS360 counterparts. Its not that black and white you have to account for demographs.

You don't know what you're talking about. You do realize that MK8 was the best-selling game on the Wii U, so of course, that success will transfer over. BOTW did well because it's a fantastic game, and the only game worth buying at launch that was full price. I'm talking about porting ANYTHING ELSE, other than Smash and Mario Maker. It appears you're just finding excuses and refuting my points without actually reading them properly. I even gave an outline as to why those particular games should be ported over, but you obviously ignored them. Financially, porting a game like Xenoblade Chronicles X is not going to be a smart move.

so you're picking and choosing what needs to be ported? Ok fair enough

I was being sarcastic man... I totally know that sales aren't attach ratio constant.. usually smaller userbase will have higher attach ratios to highly regarded games than bigger userbase.

Like I said to one guy that sweared that MK8 would be much much much bigger on PS4 userbase size (like 4x bigger)... and I just showed him how ridiculous it was to suppose the 60% attach ratio would hold independent of the size of the console base. 1.2M on 2M consoles or 60M on 100M consoles are both 60% but one or both wouldn't make sense for MK8 on those userbases.

Yes, these two are best ported. Anything else isn't really necessary, or just not smart at all.
