Yes. These games could really benefit from the Zelda HD remake formula of redoing the textures and lighting in HD. They have high-enough poly-counts and good enough art to work in HD without being overly blocky. And I'd like to see how the Joy Cons control with an FPS (Prime 3 would need motion controls, at the least).

Well, the trilogy did make all three games use mostion controls. Or so much so as to aiming.

I hope they do because the controls in the prime games suck, and they need an update.

The Trilogy redid 1 & 2 to have 3's superior aiming and controls.

You are a terrible person. The Switch controllers make the Metroid Prime 4 announcement disappointing in a way.

Nintendo should release modified Joy-Cons. A left one with a proper d-pad and a right one with a pointer; said right one would have to be thicker to integrate a pointer, but who cares.

Does it need a pointer? I feel like most games that use aiming with gyroscope don't need an ir pointer anymore. But they better keep gyro aiming and not go backwards to shit ass dual sticks.

I know. I don't like either, but I was talking about 1+2, but I meant 3 as well.

It needs to happen so people won't be turned off from the number 4, but also if 4 being developed by another team isn't similar enough then it wouldn't be a good idea.

That would be great. It will be my second time buying the trilogy.

I wouldn't be against it, but I would rather have different games than just remakes and ports :/

It would sell. I would buy it.

An HD remaster of the Prime Trilogy should be a no-brainer for Nintendo. This is something they should release no later than the first half of next year to really gin up anticipation for Prime 4. Prime 3 had some criminally underrated sales on the Wii despite the massive install base, mostly because Nintendo barely even advertised it and it was quickly overshadowed by the likes of Galaxy, Brawl and tons of 3rd party minigame fests.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I'd like to play remakes of those games. HD remasters won't do anything for me though. I tried play the first game several months ago. It doesn't hold up, unfortunately.

I think it will but only as a download when VC launches and since they will be adding online to NES game they will remaster Wii games for VC but I don't expect a physical version. I also expect it to launch not long before MP4 is released. I know they won't but I hope they uncensored the trilogy back to it's original form and add the partical effects back into the game.

Given it's been a decade since 3, I think we might see a Prime Trilogy remaster. It'll depend on just how far away Prime 4 is. Right now Nintendo aren't even saying who the developers are, which suggests to me a new studio that aren't far into development, and as far as release date goes, they're saying "beyond 2017", which suggests they don't have confidence in getting Prime 4 out in 2018, though they aren't ruling it out.

Personally I'd just prefer Prime 4 in late 2018. But if Prime 4 is going to be 2019, possibly even late 2019, then a remaster of Prime Trilogy for Switch next year makes a lot of sense, especially on the back of Samus Returns this year. New textures and lighting models and a bump in resolution would make the superb art-style sing.
