Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Who else hopes Metroid Prime Trilogy HD happens on Switch?

I'm not the biggest Metroid fan, I only played Super Metroid (which is great!) and I played a little of Metroid Prime 1 and 3 but sold them because I'm an idiot, but with the announcement of Metroid Prime 4, I really want to get into Metroid and know the story before MP4 releases. I have a Wii U so i can buy the trilogy on the VC but I really rather play an HD version on Switch, who else hopes this happens?

I would really like to see that too.

I really don't want a lot of remakes and ports on the Switch...
But I would totally play this...
Especially if it supported motion controls...

Have a nice day...

Considering it's been 10 years since Prime 3, it would make sense for Nintendo to introduce new gamers to play this series.

I still haven't played the games but I intend to play them on Wii very soon.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Yeah, this would ease the wait for Prime 4. Please make it happen Nintendo! We need to be even more vocal. :p

As I have never played the Prime series, I want them to do this.

I'll buy Metroid Prime as many times as you want Nintendo, so bring it why not.

The Switch has motion controlls. It will come.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Never played a Metroid game, but playing Prime 4 without having played the previous ones would feel wrong so I hope they release the trilogy on Switch so I can catch up first.

Yes. These games could really benefit from the Zelda HD remake formula of redoing the textures and lighting in HD. They have high-enough poly-counts and good enough art to work in HD without being overly blocky. And I'd like to see how the Joy Cons control with an FPS (Prime 3 would need motion controls, at the least).
