I'm still relatively new here, but I am willing to at least try to pick up the numbers, both because I think it is interesting, and because it compliments RolStoppable's first party thread quite well. But with no idea where the previous two thread owners were at, perhaps it might be better to just start over from scratch?

Probably something a bit simpler. User, games list, physical or digital, attach rate. Maybe not a separate members list, since that really just doubles the work for little value, imo.

Oh yeah. I'm not going to just rush out and fire up a new thread on a whim - it'd be at least a week before I could even start building my own template for a spreadsheet if I were to start all over. Just sayin' that I'm willing if Volterra isn't.

The first thing to do is hear from Volterra. His profile says that he had logged in less than two days ago, so he hasn't been completely gone in recent weeks. If it turns out that he can't or doesn't want to continue to update this thread anymore, he could transfer his spreadsheet/work over to the next person and therefore it wouldn't be necessary to start over from scratch.

I find it odd that he hasn't posted in this thread in a while, but maybe he is too ashamed to admit that it was too much work after he had taken over the thread only about two months ago. If that's the case though, calling it quits after two months would still be much more honorable than abandonment without saying anything. Hopefully this wild guess of mine lures him out of hiding.

If this happens and someone takes over I think we should make it easier for them. Put the spreadsheet on google docs. Then anyone can enter their games into the list.  Add a vlookup to validate against a master list of 3rd party 2nd and 1st. Add a new pivots for different stats and whoever is in charge can post weekly updates.

This would be simpler than someone reading 10s of pages each week and pasting the data in, since we are writting the games down ourselves anyway here.

Ok. I've sent messages to both VersusEvil and Volterra_90 to see if either plans to pick the thread back up. If not, I may just create a New and (not) Improved Switch Third Party Society thread. On the assumption that it's unlikely either will be returning to take control of the thread, I've been building an Access database, and am up to page 125 of this thread. If you're wondering, that adds up to over 1400 games purchased at that point. Over 10% of that total from just two people.

Anyway, I went on a small buying binge this weekend: FIFA 18, BattleChasers: Nightwar and Rayman Legends at retail, and Disco Dodgeball Remix digital.

Just bought Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2.
