The forums. I haven't found other forums that are as good, especially in regard to keeping things in order. A lot of forums seem to have either tons of aggressive behaviour or a lot of, uh, very simple users that spam everything with stupid one-liners and such. It's actually possible to discuss things here in a civil manner! I'm guessing that's mostly thanks to moderation because there have certainly been some users testing the limits here as well, but I suppose I can't forget the users either.

I like discussions about breaking news (not just gaming related). If you go to the CNN comments section, its filled with trolls and porn. If you post something real in reddit, people just reddit it (you know what I mean if you've been on reddit). Twitter? Psh. You can't post anything sensible and intellectual when there are character limitations. Facebook? Insert social justice warriors, angry feminists, and rednecks and there ya go. If you want real discussions to take place about real world issues, you come to Vgchartz lol.

I'm too stupid to find another site and I'm too old to understand what the hell all this social media rage is about. So I just keep coming here.

I refuse to start from zero. Plus the people here are usually smarter than other websites.

The analytical bend of the site and a community that's neither too big nor too small. Some forums are so busy it's hard to have a decent debate.

I've browsed neogaf a bit and got dizzy, whenever there's a big thread there's a bout 20 posts a minute. Posts just get buried and never read.

Exactly why I don't bother with it.
