Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Sea of Thieves Gameplay! Best Looking Game at E3

This is probaly the best video I have seen so far of Sea Of Thieves.  Gamers are really into this game and it is so good to see that.

Low standards. Microsoft showcased anthem for a reason as their closer. lol @ sea of thieves as best looking game. Next year that game better watch out before it gets swept up in sales for its respective Month by the competition.

Rare still has some talent left after all these years

Well Anthem is more of a mainstream game and it was a surprise announcement. We've seen Sea of Thieves before.

I must say though, this is the best clip I've seen of this game and it does look gorgeous and fun! I just don't have enough friends who are interested in this type of game so hopefully it's playable alone or with 1-2 friends.

It wasn't even the best looking pirate game at E3.

Don't worry, Vasto. I'm excited too.

That sail blocked the view completely. Was it like that in blag flag can't remember?

Must say, some of the stuff he talked about was far more interesting to me than how MS has demoed the game so far. The idea of working together from individual stations to steer, navigate, and sail the ship was far cooler to me than the walking and fighting they'd shown to date. Maybe he was just able to explain what was special about the game better than MS has. Tough to say how well such mechanics will survive online goofballs, though...

I'm not personally interested because I've played MMOs to the point that I'm no longer interested in (shudder) cooperation.

However, I do like the vibe of the game and I hope they can pull it off. It has charm and I'd like to see it become a success.

Naval battles look awesome. Island exploration and combat ... not so much. They need to work on that to keep it fresh. I'm guessing most of the people who settle in for the long-term end up as pirates who hunt other ships, anyway. I know that's the experience I'd be after.

What this game needs most of all, though, is heavy advertising. It doesn't have a central figures like most games or "lore" like a Warcraft, so it really needs all the help it can get in order to grab the attention of potential players.
