feels really good to be a Pro day 1 buyer in enjoying higher Performance a whole year earlier, and for 110€ less.

After that 500 bucks announcement by MS, it doesn't seem like they will feel any pressure. But I'm still counting on temporary price drops for PS4 Slim/Pro and PSVR during BF and Holidays. If it does great, the new prices will become permanent.

Actually it's currently €350 including Horizon:Zero Dawn here. Probably not an official price drop but there are good deals to be found now and then.

Bundles from September, Price drop for the holidays at the start of November makes much more sense than making a price drop now. Letting everybody know their future plans would be a huge own goal.

Just keep a keen eye on where the deals are and you can get one for very good value.

I don't think a price cut is coming. This is Sony's premium model and they are enjoying the extra profit per unit they earn from it. Dropping the price would ruin that revenue stream.

Besides there's no pressure on Sony to drop either. Maybe like a Black Friday week type cut but that's about it.

PS knows they don't need to, most people know they don't need to, but wish they would for their wallets sake. The XB1X may be a better overall value for the price of the hardware, but on all other fronts PS is at least on par if not way ahead.

With PS making a mistake on demand, and only having a minimum amount of Pro's available, this makes the cost to manufacture higher. The more parts you buy and assemble at once, the cheaper you can do it/sell it for.

XB1S has a bunch of built in hardware and software that the PS4 doesn't. Yet PS4 still outsells it 2:1 at the same price point. If XB1X was cut by $50 sometime in the new yr, I don't even know if PS would follow suit at this point.

The best I could see PS doing until a significant XB1X price drop would be a $399 Pro + new game bundle with multiple titles to choose from.

They have not been out of stock stock where I live. In fact there was a giant pile of them at my local electronics store. :P
If they actually dropped the price by 50 - 100 I'd get one in a heartbeat.

They already do have problems to meet demand. After hearing X1Xs price there was no need to for a price drop..That said there even was one with days of Play for 349,-...be assured to get an official price drop down to 349 just before XBox One X releases!
