I duno how these things work, but I think that is unlikely considering Ni No Kuni 2 is console exclusive and Sony had it front and center on its PSX last year, I believe Level5 and sony ahs some sort of deal and Level 5 would want to keep Sony informed, but as I said I duno.

You do know, I answered above... ^^ Sony showed Ni no Kuni 2 with trailer and release date.

Ye, pre-show, with a super small trailer, yay... it shouldve been on the main show, with a sizeable gameplay trailer, its their 1 game still releasing this year.

That sound more like a lame excuse. I doubt they would lose the chance to make a big splash if they could. No way. Of course they have more games on the works, but they are in early stages and not ready to be shown.

Fact: Sony did reveal a lot of games, but a good many are these smartphone-integrated games or VR - which honestly don't interest the vast majority of people who follow E3.

Apart from new details on existing titles - Sony had a weak E3. That's all there is to say here.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

It still answers the question about "Does Level 5 keeps Sony informed?".

1 game still releasing this year? What happened to Crash, Gran Turismo and Knack 2, among others? They did a 1 hour show, and had to put some games in the pre-show, that's it. It's available on YouTube the exact same way, and is talked about by websites too. Nothing shameful about that, every year a lot of games are not in the pre-E3 conferences.

Being a Japanese game, it might also be at the TGS, a lot closer to the release date.

PlayStation Experience.

Thats great and all, but they could have at least pushed one of their big exclusives for this Q4. This way we have GT Sports, one that I am not really interested in (except to watch its sales).

Also, we still know nothing about what Sucker Punch is doing, and their show seemed to be slapped together in the last minute. Dont get me wrong, I love their offering but the show was poor.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

calling it now

they want PSX to be considered their big show of the year going forward, and E3 for them will be updates on already announced games and reveals of middle-tier games like MHW and SotC.

Last of Us 2 being announced at PSX and not E3 shows this

well... if they position psx as the main event for new playstation announcements in the future, i'll skip e3 completely because everything else is not worth watching, at least not live, anyway.

You know who else could've announced more games at E3?

Literally every other publisher.

Companies don't unload everything they have at any one given conference in any one given year. They have business models and plans that dictate when they release what information in and effort to keep their customers and consumers interested.

They really could have. The games shown were great and exciting but we've seen so much of it already. Some of these games are on their second or third conference (including PSX) so they really needed to bring some new stuff to the table or announce some of these games like GoW, Days Gone or Spider-Man for the end of 2017. If the games aren't ready, don't rush them though, I understand that.

I glad they didn't pull a Nintendo or a crash trilogy where they just announce something without any substance, that I heavily dislike so I can appreciate holding back on exciting announcement that you may have nothing to show for.
