Ark Survival Evolved Devs Comment On PS4 Pro vs. Xbox One X Power Difference

 Ark Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard has talked about the hardware difference between the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X. In an interview with Geoff Keighley for YouTube Live, the developer shared some comments on the hardware offered by the Xbox One X as well as the comparison to PS4 Pro. According to the developer Jesse Rapczak, the reason they can offer high quality textures, draw distance close to ‘Epic’ settings on PC and other improved visuals on the Xbox One X is because of the faster processing power and higher RAM offered by the Xbox One X. The developer stated that it is not possible to release the game in the same state on the PS4 Pro compared to what they have achieved on the Xbox One X. The additional RAM that is being offered to the developers has been increased to 9 GB, up from the initial 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM. This is also an increase over the PS4 Pro and the developers stated that one of the reason the draw distance is higher on the Xbox One X is because of the RAM. Ark Survival Evolved is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can simply get the updated Ark Survival Evolved version on Xbox One X if you own the game on the Xbox One. There is no need to purchase another version for it.

In the end, the game will run like shit on all 3 platforms. Not trying to downplay xbox one x though cause that is a pretty powerful console.

Yes this game is horribly optimized on all platforms.

Their exclusive was tailored ultra specifically to what only PS4/Pro could do vs a dev who's coding for 4 console specs as well as all the PC ones out there. Also don't forget that HZD's studio is exclusive to Sony, while the Ark dev isn't.

It actually gets worse when you try to lower some settings, which tbh sounds like pure backwards cancer right there. 

I gave up playing the game when the updates kept rolling out, my 980 couldn't cut it either as well as my 4670k. I don't even expect my new rig to handle this mess decently either.
