I remember playing the original Shadow of the Colossus alone in my tiny ass room with a 21 inch CRT piece of crap TV with my fat PS2. I remember how long it took me because I suck and I didn't have internet at the house (it was on a mountain) and I remember how I was so immersed and how I couldn't believe how amazing the game was despite the shitty controls and the shitty technical issues. I mean, the HD remaster was great and all but it didn't fix what was really wrong with the game.

Fast forward to today, and I've got chills all over. You eighties babies, you also felt it? When you saw the horse legs? NOTHING in the entire show comes close to this announcement.

Nah, I didn't enjoy the original and prettier visuals won't change that. God of War stole the show and kicked everything else into the pits of tartarus.

Total surprise that this is what it turned out to be. I was assuming a port of the PS3 remaster. This looks absolutely incredible though. Third game to get brought back through time, after Ratchet & Clank and Crash Bandicoot.

For me though God of war is the best thing I saw. Game looks like everything I possibly want. The Nordic setting is perfect and it looks like Kratos actually has some sense about him. SSM is maturing the story telling in the right kinds of ways.
