Lovely console numbers, lovely software numbers and attach ratio. It's all very lovely. With the pace continuing as it has, 100 million seems more realistic. Almost bet worthy.

100 % more than 100 million. Maybe 110-120 million lifetime ?

What do you estimate - how high are the PS4 sales figures at the end of 2017 worldwide?

You're probably right about it selling over 100 million. As for the total at the end of 2017? Another 12 million seems reasonable. So 72 milion is my guess.

remember when people were trying to convince themselves PS4 sales were going to be really front-loaded?

Even given another entire year in ALL regions PS2 is only 10 million ahead on shipments. So I disagree.

Anyway Nintendo e3 is staaarting!

PS4 shipped 60 million as of March 2017, thats 3 years in Japan with an extra quarter in the west.

PS2 shipped 12.7 in Japan in 3 years, 29.53 in America & 24.56 in PAL in 3 years and 1 quarter.

Launches aligned PS2 was about 7 million ahead of PS4 as of the last shipment update.

Yes but that's not how any of this works, a console being available somewhere tends to skew things because people from NA et EU bought it in Japan anyway. So.... not all PS2 sold during those 8 months were for Japan.

Even as recently as the start of this year people were proclaiming the ps4 would certainly decline in 2017. So far it's in beast mode and selling big numbers without a price cut.

well, that wasn't a bad guess to make, I thought it was going to be down this year too, and maybe it still will by the end of it. It is in it's fourth full year after all

And people thought a couple of slow NA months meant that the PS4 wouldn't be the best selling system this year.

Let's not forget that the first five months of 2017 were crazy. I'm sure several of us are still backed up by at least a couple of games. I can fully see why so many PS4s sold, especially with a megaton like Horizon dropping at the end of February.

Aww that's cute, I wish I was only backed up by a couple of games, hey, even five games would be amazing... try a backlog of 40 games, lol :P So many games, so little time!

I'm still trying to clear my PS3 backlog.

I think the Christmas business is very strong for PS4. Especially because of games like Call of Duty, Fifa 18, Destiny 2. But especially because of Gran Turismo Sport, Ni No Kuni 2 and other great games (The Evil Within 2, Knack 2, PES ect). Will be very interesting. At the end of August: Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Yakuza Kiwami, Everybodys Golf ect.Lets see :)

My prediction for 2017: More than 14 million :)

But I thought it wasn't going to beat the Wii yo.
They need to come up with the PS5 fast yo.
