I should check myself but I'm at work. Does this mean Q1 is now bigger than Q4 in terms of hardware sales ?

no way.

 

these sales are for the first half of 2016. so 7 million in a little big over 6 months. Q4 sales are higher than that, they are 8 million or even more.

Yeah I should have said Q1+Q2, as 360 used to sell as much during Q1-3 as Q4 IIRC it's still pretty big.

Also Q2 isn't over.

People on neogaf are saying 5months and 10days.

"Worth noting this pace is actually the fastest the PS4 has ever sold in the first half of the year."

Its still outselling the PS2.
