Forums - Sony Discussion - Monster Hunter World announced for PS4/Xbox One/PC

Pretty big blow to Nintendo, though. Short of MH5 being announced on the Switch and somehow looking better, I don't see how this doesn't come off as a Herculean L.

Monster Hunter XX remaster Who? :P

Poor Nintendo. At least the Switch game is coming this year.

Poor Nintendo? LOL

Japan is the thing that determine if Monster Hunter is going to be a success and the Japanese LOVE mobile gaming. If anything, the MH Ps4 should be worried about the MH Switch.

Well it wouldn't have to look better I don't think.  A lot of Japanese players like the portable aspect.  I would be shocked if Capcom doesn't look to capitalize on that.

On a 3rd party multiplat? I sure hope thats not the reason

I Known. But, in the west, this one is definitely the better looking choice of the two. Unless Nintendo show us the real Monster Hunter 5 during the direct tomorrow.

And besides, is bad enough for PR anyway.

It is poor PR and I doubt we'll see Monster Hunter V. But we'll see.

And MonHun XX likely won't do spectacularly.  It's the worst received MonHun in a while.

MH in the west means basically nothing, but sure the ps4 one will absolutely do better than the Switch here, but then again the 3ds version destroyed the Wii U version (but that was a failed system) so who knows?

And I say "look better" I mean "look like a better game"

There were other announcements before that comment... and at the time I didn't know it was a multiplat.

Cool. Good for MH fans who have no interest in Switch. Game looks fine.

lol at comments that this is somehow bad for Nintendo though. I don't buy it.
