Does anyone think its possible Sony could pare back what it was going to show at E3 due to the lack of compitetion from Microsoft? Make a last minute change and drop things that may have been a ways off?

Eh... I doubt they'd do that. If anything after Microsoft's very little announcements they'd want to double down.

"Hey guys look, Microsoft announced Forza 7, Ori 2, and Super Tails Fox Thing. But we've got this!"

The biggest worry is they also have nothing new to announce, considering they have a show every 6 months, while Microsoft only has one big event every 12 months.

I mean it was only 6 months ago they announce TLOU: Part 2 and Wipeout, but I'm confident they'll deliver!

Umm, they're not going to drastically change their conference because of an event that happened only 1 day prior. I just hope that they made games in the near future a focus for this E3, instead of games that are far away like they've done.

They could cancel the whole thing, stay home and in pijamas and still emerge as the victor.

I hope that they planned for Scorpio from last years E3, i.e MS announced and sony had 1 year to prepare for it, hoping they kick it out of the park. If they don't its a lost opportunity to show how poor Ms really are in terms of 1st party.

nah, I don't think they have too much new to announce at this point anyway given Sucker Punch are the only AAA studio with nothing announced, so no point in limiting themselves any more

Nope. If they have a underwhelming show, then we can say that were lucky that MS underdelivered. The ball is in their court, a stellar show + price cuts could make XBX be DOA 4 months before launch.

If Microsoft had a weak showing, completely blowing your load and taking the entire media spotlight is the way forward.
