I first discovered VGChartz in the spring of 2012. I was working as an admin in DC and during slow periods I would lurk on the site, watching all the drama unfold. I remember following the midadventures of a particularly vocal and unapologetic Nintendo fanatic named lilbroex.
I was a lurker until September 2012, when I became a member. I was living/working overseas, surrounded by people who didn't know a PlayStation from a station wagon. It provided me an outlet to talk about games and feel like part of a community. Since then I've posted in the forum 10,000 times (this is my 10,000th) post, worked as a mod, and contributed to the site as a writer. I've also made dozens of friends, who have been there with me through good times and bad times.
So, thanks VGChartz community for welcoming me, and for trusting me to take on those leadership roles, and for supporting me during moments of loss and heartache.
