Am I like the only person who gets hate messages every 5 or so games for rushing?

Seriously, it's part of the game. Even if someone does a cheap tactic, if it's effective, why should you criticize them for doing it? If it's over powered, adjustments with nerfs/buffs can be applied to tactics, but simply dismissing the topic because it's cheap is no way to go about solving the issue. In the video above, I used the triple shield stack on covenant bases to prevent my opponent from cracking though. I would agree that this is broken, but I wouldn't criticize someone for using it. It's part of the game, right?

Part of being a member of a community is playing in a way that makes the game fun. If you abuse some cheap exploit, you are a poor member of that community and you are actively participating in making the game less enjoyable.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I have to agree.

Tekken 3 is one of the most important games I've played in my life. I fell in love with the franchise and with fighting games. I couldn't wait to play 4, 5 and 6. 6 even had multiplayer! I was ecstatic. All that enthusiasm went out of the window as soon as I started playing online. I didn't like getting beat by guys who were more skilled than myself but I absolutely hated playing against guys who would pull the same trick over and over again (King would grab me over and over again, not letting me play at all), just because I didn't know how to block it. It sucked all the fun out of the game for me.

Same thing happened with Naruto:Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. Loved the game and then went to play online, only to see everyone using Deidara and the fight becoming a spamfest. Out of every 10 players I would face, 8 would be spammers and fighting them was no fun for me. Later on, I found out that there was a way to counter their attack, but that's besides the point. If it ain't fun, it ain't fun. What's the point of spamming or pulling cheap tricks? You won an internet fight! Well done, here's a cookie or something.

I play volleyball and my serves are pretty good. When I play against a weak team and it's a friendly match, I don't use any cheap tricks or my most effective technique because then we end up beating the other team, but without most people actually playing the sport. It just ain't fun. So if you don't wanna be an asshole, try to win differently. Or let the other person have some enjoyment playing against you.

That's on the dev/publisher. I took my medicine as far back as Crazy Taxi on the DC. Never partook. But no matter how slight or gross the oversight, it's a part of the game until it's not. I'll take rules over honor any day.

Some of these comments reminded me of how much I hated when people chose Maka Wuhu on MK7 online. Really made me despise that track and people who did choose it deserved a ton of hate messages.

I think you're thinking too deeply into it. If it can be ignored, I think that is the best course of action to take. If not, then I'm not entirely sure what you can do.

I'd say problems like these are for the devs to sort out, but it can be frustrating when something is so blatantly overpowered.

If you're doing something that makes the game less fun for the others, you deserve to hear about it. Of course if it's hate speech, it goes too far, but if you're reducing the enjoyment of others, you need to be able to face any reasonable consequences. It's not your fault if a game is somewhat broken, but others don't have to like you for abusing the rules of a game.
