Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will Bayo 2 remain WiiU exclusive?

Sega could make a deal. Bayo 3 timed exclusive for Switch in exchange for Nintendo allowing to release Bayo 2 on Steam and PS4. The Switch has a huge need for games, they barely exist. And Sega needs the quick and easy money from a Bayo 2 release.

But why would Nintendo agree to a deal like that? Lose an exclusive in exchange for another game that they'll eventually lose exclusivity to?

Uhh, this is done all the time in the video game industry. Timed exclusive content for 3rd party games is the current norm.

The IP belongs to Tecmo, MIcrosoft funded the game and published it.  Microsoft can't copyrite anything in there as they don't own the IP and I doubt Tecmo's lawyers would put assets in a in a contract.  The best Microsoft would have been able to do is to put wording to keep the game itself since they have a vested interest in it.  Obviously Microsoft's lawyers didn't care enough to go into great length to prevent Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma and Tecmo made enough changes for whatever is in their contract for it to not hold up in court.

Then why does it say Tecmo published it on Microsoft's own website?

Then why does it say Microsoft Game Studios on the box?

Bayo Amiibo are about to be released.... Ninty has not yet finished with Bayo...

It doesn't.  it just says Microsoft.  It's Microsoft Game Studio when they publish, Microsft when they just distribute.

I think you're missing the "custom" part of your Ninja Gaiden 2 link.  GameStudios is on the back of the original cover.

No, it'll end up on PC at the very least eventually.
