3DS' resolution is very low, but the screen is so small that you shouldn't be able to tell.

The 3DS feels like a stop gap to get to the Switch, which is what I wanted from Nintendo for years.

I enjoyed both, 3DS was a good handheld plenty of great games.

I get that. The Wii U is far and away the worst piece of gaming hardware I've ever owned. But I still really enjoyed the games I had on it.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

All the games mentioned in the OP wouldn't exist if the 3DS had better hardware. Those games got made because it is easy to make games for the 3DS and devs like that.

I don't hate the 3DS I love it, but fuck.. it's time to move on Nintendo.

The hardware had some flaws, yes, but it was a definite and noticeable upgrade from the previous gen of handhelds, PSP included.

The system was slow, though the New 3DS did fix that issue. It's multimedia capabilities sucked. And the screen scratch issue was an awful design flaw that never should have made it out of the prototype stage, let alone to the retail console.

But it's games could be downright gorgeous. The analog stick and overall button layout was comfortable. The 3D worked quite well for certain games. And street pass was the most ingenuis feature ever devised for a portable. Not to mention, the New 3DS revision made games like Xenoblade possible.

In terms of hardware, it's wasn't as good as the Vita, but it certainly wasn't as awful as this guy says. XD

I liked it and I felt comfortable playing it. The hardware wasn't very powerful, but the games were great.

However, I think Nintendo should stop making games for it now and move on to the Switch.
