Yes sir. And I often go months without buying any games because I only buy the stuff I am dying to play.

Also, buying a console here is almost a life changing decision, money wise... I have seem the Switch for 800 dollars and controlers for 200 dollars.

I know a place where the Switch is selling for around 550 dollars, it was actually the place where I bought my PS4 from.
But it is in their site, and I bought it personally with the owner, he drove here to get me my and a friend PS4s, even came back to trade the controller that had a scratch in the touch pad as well (for free), quite the nice guy.

Still too pricey, tho.

Wow, it almost sounds like a drug deal

LOL, "proper taxes", didn't know this would be a comedy thread.

Anyway, yes, the sales on games here are pretty high, Sao Paulo city alone with 300k for illegal games a month (and there is also the official and imports), tells a lot of how important Brazil could be to the consoles industry wasn't the ridiculous "proper taxes" we have to pay over it here.

By the way, Nintendo JUST came back officially to Brazil thorugh NC games, so I don't get that last line and poll.

I mean like Sony and MS: having a e-shop, localized stuff and everything.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Yes, this is how we talk about games in Brazil, we look for "dealers", someone that "knows a guy"...

First one is for free... of course...

well Switch is R$1550 here (at least last week, last time I went to downtown), but the games was ~350, so I gave up

The other day I went into a store that had the Switch, so just out of curiosity I asked for prices.

The console: R$2500.
Pro controller: R$600.

600 for a controller. I was like "oh, cool" and left... had to go watch GotG Vol. 2 after that to clear up my mind (and now I sadly remember I can't watch that movie anymore).

600 reais for a controler is so ridiculous. 2300 reais is the best deal I have found around my area, but I also have found 3500 reais and stupid stuff like that.

To be honest, I already fell like an idiot when I pay 200 reais for a game, like I did for Horizon or RE7. It is hard, at least to me, to make 200 reais in work.

The guy didn't even live in my city, btw xP

I was going to buy it from a store where I a friend of mine (let's call it Y) knew the onwer (let's call it A) when he had a store himself, then my buddy (let's call it Z) told me he found this other guy (let's call him B) that knew worked for A for a long time and now had a store as well, then we spoke with B and he told us he would beat A price's on it for me (because I would pay it full in cash) and not for Z (because he divide it with his card), then I told Z to not accept it because I would tell A that Y was my friend and get us both a better price, then B told us that we would make us both a better price and ship it himself in some hours, and then I told him to accept it, B would come in person with the products in hand afterall so we could test it right there as well before paying, and it went like that xD

The Z dude is a buddy of mine =)

I think paying up to R$200 on a game is acceptable, considering that's about what a retail game costs in the U.S. anyways. However, you don't find most games at that price.

If it is something I know I will enjoy it for a long time, like Persona, Zelda, Horizon, RE7, I buy it.

But for experimentation, I really do not have the guts to spend this kind of money.

Like Fallout 4, I paid very little money for it, like 40 reais, but I did not like it. To my surprise really, cause I was crazy about Fallout 3. Maybe I have changed too much since then.
