Forums - General Discussion - If you can change anything from the past (up to ten years), what would you change?

I would buy $1000 worth of bitcoin back in 2010. Today, I would be worth almost 400,000,000 CAD. :D

I would also join vgchartz earlier, and realize trolling on the internet was a waste of time instead of realizing that in my mid-20s.

I would also make wild predictions about Trump winning the election in 2016, with those laughing at me for being a stupid troll, only to be proven right would be so epic.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

So many things id be here all day listing them.

I doubt I'd be at a better place right now if I changed anything. I'd probably be off worse. So no way I'm gonna touch anything in my past.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Id have saved my brother. He took his own life.

Ten years ago? I would've invested a lot of money in Apple and Google, bought a lot of Facebook stock after its IPO spiked and dropped, bought a lot more property when the US economy/real estate market collapsed under George W. Bush.

I'm hoping for another housing crisis in a way. Is that a little selfish?

Come to Australia. We had a massive boom for several years. It's almost slowed down to a halt. Crisis incoming! I've been waiting for it for a couple of years now.

I'm happy with family, friends, finances, and the foundation I have laid for my future.

The only thing I could have done that would have made me feel better today, would have been championing the 3G Vita in the begining, instead of figuring out how awesome it was to late. I told a lot of people to get iPhones, and Galaxies due to a few issues with Sony/PlayStation decisions at the time. There's a 99.99999->% chance it wouldn't have changed anything, but at least I wouldn't have directly assisted in the creation of the current duoply that has killed the innovation that helped create my passion for electronics as a child.

If I had the power, I would also find a way to keep the Viper alive. I have drove a lot of awesome cars in my life, I have had the pleasure of riding in many more, and of course had unlimited access to virtual driving. In all of that I have never expereinced a car that brought so much happiness to me or the poeple around. It is great that people will always be able to expereince the ones that remain, but also heartbreaking, that the future will not offer that amazing raw, visceral conection between man and machine.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Essentially this ^^^^

I am in real estate (not a realtor) and if the latest downturn hadn't kicked me so hard in the nuts, I would have literally made millions from it.

It is near the end of the end....

First, I'd know how to behave in regard to women instead of behaving like a fool because of my inexperience. Second, I'd get some bitcoin. There's not a lot of things I could change for the better, but the first one is definitely something I'd change if I could. The second thing would improve my standard of living. I don't really need much but I have even less than I'd like right now.

Besides winning the lottery with winning combination, express betting on sports events and buying Apple, FB, Amazon, Netflix stocks, some Bitcoins etc I would open personal political blog with my "expert predictions" :)
Would skip books, movies, games I havent enjoyed)
Would buy PS3 and RDR earlier, LOL.
