When you search something in Google (for example, Sony or Nintendo), there will typically be news lines for whatever you search under the search bar.

It seems like Forbes constantly churnes out pathetic articles downplaying whatever Sony or Nintendo does. Nintendo is being successful? Well, the Switch is still gonna fail, or it's simply lucky and Nintendoomed. Sony isn't picked on as much, but they exaggerate anything they do. Dude from Sony says he finds backwards compatability useless? Make a clickbait article and misrepresent what he said.

Forbes's "quality" content feels like the rubbish you find on the C-level magazines next to the checkout lane in gocery stores. I can't understand how they are doing so well. Perhaps their other content isn't as bad as the gaming section- I don't know. However, it's clear that they have absolutely no knowledge on the gaming market.

It's a good thing they have the adblock popup. Always helps me not give them clicks when I accidentally go on their website

Like Rol said, there is a difference between the "normal" Forbes and articles by Forbes contributors who are just some dudes without a clue about anything^^

Gaming on Forbes is handled by contributors, so it shouldn't be expected that there will be quality articles. It's essentially all done by glorified bloggers.

Why would a news network allow that? It could easily damage their reputation.

I just try not to give them any clicks. It's a normal practice with any news site or network. Huffpo and salon churn all kinds of bullshit.

Forbes asks me to disable my adblock to view its page so as you can imagine I have never read any of their articles and after reading this I can see I havent missed on anything.

I've been seeing youtubers complaining about forbes misrepresenting them in articles.

They don't consider gaming news "real" news, that's why.  Gaming still gets little to no respect in mainstream news media.

And there are a couple of quality writers amongst their contributors.  The problem is no regulation or quality control so there's 5 clueless clickbaiters for every good writer.
