Forums - Gaming Discussion - Games/Series that you used to like a lot but not anymore.

Do you have any games/series that u used to play alot before but you don't like it now. And no I'm not talking about one game that ruined the entire series (no Other M/Federation Force). So if you just dislike a single games that doesn't count. Also I count spin-off as a separate series so you can like Mario Kart series while dislike the Super Mario series or you can like Persona while dislike SMT.

For me I used to play Lego games a lot. During PS2 era I play all Lego games to 100% completion. Nowadays I just think the Lego style are too childish for me. I also tend to dislike most of the game with chibi style (probably because I've grown up lol).

So do you have any ex-favorite games/series?

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Halo.
Gears of war.

The whole bald or huge muscular space marine soldier feels so boring and outdated now. Loved them back in 06 though.

Cod

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The closest I can think of is Battlefield because I loved the Bad Company games so much, and had fun with 1943 but then didn't really care for 3 and 4 much and haven't played Hardline or BF1 yet.

Pokemon.

I don't dislike the series, but until Gen V, I was crazy obsessed with Pokemon, now I'm super casual about it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I'm done with Civilization, played it since 1991 and lost interest with Beyond Earth. I only played one round in that one, not feeling it anymore.

Little big planet was amazing. I played the campaign many times with different people and played tons of user made levels from lots of favorited creators. I made my own complex levels as well. LBP2's campaign was still good but I didn't get into the user made levels like I did with the first one. LBP3 is horrible. I actually just tried it again today and it made my 5 year old cry from frustration. The intro is way too long, he begged the game to let him play already. Then you get to the non linear confusing part and the game loses all its charm.

The whole fps/tps genre has lost its appeal to me. I used to love Doom, could not get into the new one.

Same happened to me regarding LBP. 3 is just unplayable. At launch it was even worse: full of bugs, glitches and crashes.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Tomb Raider. I just don't like the new direction. I like Lara Croft as a bad ass motherfucker. I don't need yet another cry-baby. We have enough of those. I also don't like all that Uncharted style gameplay. I liked the old games a whole lot better.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

All the old Tomb Raider after the original one had terrible controls.  That is like saying you like the tank control RE better then the ones with RE4 style control.

I surpressed those memories, yet now you mention it, first time I played it, it took almost a minute for the popit to show up every single time you pressed square. The game did some slow scan of all your screenshot directories of which I had a lot. I had to delete most of my screenshots for LBP3 to even work at all. Online wasn't working 90% of the time, it had horrendous loading times, bad stutter while playing, what went wrong with the game. Now it sorta works (still painful loading times on ps4 pro boost mode), it still isn't fun to play.
