I know lots of us are mainly from a few specific countries (UK, Germany, Canada, USA, Brazil and Japan seem to be where most of the community is from) but I am also certain we share many different backrounds, and I guess I wanted to make a thread where we could share this. Now please people, don't turn this into trolling or politicizing anything. This is to help everyone know each other a bit better. If you don't want to share, you are still more than welcome to be involved in the conversation, but please don't get into anything negative.

Me personally, well I am half hungarian half iranian (I'm sure this will shock a few people), so yeah, I guess I opened myself up a bit there. :)

Some French on my fathers site hence the French surname (Hugo). And mostly German on my mothers side although I think my maternal grandmother had some Romani ancestry.

My maternal grandma is from venezuela and maternal grandpa is from South Africa
My paternal grandma is from Japan and my grandpa is from Germany.

Woah, lots of different ancestrys there.

All my paternal and maternal grandparents were from the respective countries I talked about, though I think my maternal great-grandparents were from Bohimea and Austria, though I would have to confirm that.

Canadian from Newfoundland (living in Alberta). All 4 of my grandparents were English. I'm about as white as you can get. I wouldn't mind getting one of those DNA tests at some point to see if I have anything else in me.

Swedish, Mexican, Spanish, Aztec (so, Mexican?), English, Irish, Scottish, French, Canadian, German, unknown African ancestry, and Korean. I'm mostly Swedish though

I really should get one too. I would have no clue what I could get from my dad, though I would expect probably around 50% European from my mother, possibly with some East Asian in there (my great-grandfather was slavic).
