I could have an all new rig with TWO Titan Xp's for 5000 dollars......

But you would have just a PC, why do people keep forgetting the damn display?

At this point it feels like 10nm is never going to arrive...

Meanwhile Zen 2 is posed to arrive on 7nm in a year or two.

Yuup. Hopefully Intel gets their shit toghether, they've been resting on their laurels for too long. We should at least get some nice pricedrops from the competition and since Intel already annouced pricedrops for coffee lake I'm pretty optimistic about future drops as long as Zen stays on schedule.

True, and hopefully Intel moves all their products up two cores. Still waiting till I can get my hands on a quad core 13-inch Macbook Pro :)

That's nuts! Just get a Ryzen/ThreadRipper based system and bam... Similar performance with muchhh less money

A lot of people seem not to factor in the cost of the screen...

Neh, even then... A screen like that would cost maybe $1000-$1500 and it would still be $1000-$2000+ cheaper

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I would never buy Apple. Too generic and definitely overpriced.

I would barely buy a laptop from Walmart for 200 let alone.....5,000 dollars!

Well, i don't think anyone should be trusting walmart to have good laptops

LOL at anyone willing to buy this over just building your own computer for far, far cheaper, and way better parts.

Ok, build me an Intel 8 core PC, with an 11TFLOPS GPU (so Radeon Vega or NVIDIA TITAN XP), 32GB's of ECC DDR4 RAM, 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, A PSU to power it all (Gold rated, probably around 800 Watts), a top of the line 5K professional display, a mouse, a keyboard and a fully alluminum chassis.

Report back with your much cheaper PC, I'm curious.

Get a PC-expert to build this online on a pc-builder website. A thread comparing the two would be neat

Edit: once the official specs and power come out, then a comparison will be possible

Here is a 5k professional grade monitor for $1000:

You could edit some sick Minecraft LPs with that.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
