Wow.
I like Apple, I mean have had MacOS computers since, like, 1995 or something, and they kick ass, but 5000 bucks? Maybe if I were a millionaire.

Jesus Christ, I can buy a used car for that!
That's how much I spend each year on my college tuition that isn't covered by Financial Aid!
And there are people our there actually willing to cough up that money?!
No wonder Apple is the giant it is today.

This basically. And I really don't need it either.
If I was rich though? Yeah, I'd get one.

Considering it has a professional color graded 5K display, workstation CPU and GPU, ECC RAM support and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage as standard, yes, people who do heavy video editing or animation work will shell out this kind of money. It really isn't meant for normal consumers (even though you could buy one (if you had enough money, which I certainly don't)).

Ha, a fraction of these will actually go to those that will utilize them for such.
Most of them will go to the Presidents and what not of companies who always buy new tech and have it as a company expense. I worked at a place where the president did that very thing. Everytime a new iphone computer/tablet/phone/watch came out he and a couple other big wigs would all get one. They would be purchased by the company card and put to some expense.
If there were some digital professionals at my work, you can bet they would have gotten their hand me down computers at best. A companies employees are not worth this kind of cash.
You could buy a complete beast of a system for less than half that much. No thanks.
That's nuts! Just get a Ryzen/ThreadRipper based system and bam... Similar performance with muchhh less money
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
"Just $5000".
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).
