I think they are just attacking more than before for some reason. I don't know maybe they are just trying to amp up recruitment or they're trying to give the impression that they are strong. Maybe the attempts at terrorism are just slipping through the gaps in security

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure how to respond to this, other than that we'd need data to determine whether or not there are more terrorist attacks, which it sure seems like are up. Now of course, the reasons for it and the solutions are going to change drastically depending on the person.

It kind of seems like it, at least here in the west. I don't know if it's very different in other regions, such as the Middle East, though. Could be a sign of weakness. They've been losing ground in their stupid war, so they attack innocent people for attention and deeper division between cultures, which could both potentially benefit them.

People like Theresa May don't realize that they aren't doing anything to help the situation. Internet regulations? Really?

Does anyone even need the internet to do an attack? I can take out my sharpest knife, use my car, and bam, there you go. Internet regulations would need to be 24/7 surveillance to stop terror attacks. Even then, that wouldn't be enough to stop them all for the reason listed above.

Because that is and will most likely be the worst terror act in history.  It's your language - they aren't getting worse, they're getting more frequent.

Thousands of terror attacks have occurred since 9/11 attack. The world continues to mourns the innocent lives lost in ongoing terrorist attacks. The world hopes the terrorists are brought to justice. Western nations are not doing enough to stop global terrorism. Weak governments in Europe are sitting on their hands as the terrorists wreck havoc. Before the 9/11 attacks the world used to be a nice peaceful place where people lived easy laid back lives. 9/11 attack in 2001 has changed the world and transformed it into a nightmarish hell on Earth.

depends on the region you are looking at

in the extended middle east (+ pakistan/india/north africa) terroristic activity is certainly much more frequent than what was recorded before

in western europe it's much less frequent than from 1970-1990

in far east europe (ukraine/russia) it probably spiked again since russian occupation, but it's recent peak could also be around the chechnya conflict in the 90s

I'm not sure about NA, but I read anti-migrant terrorism has spiked considerably since the election probably putting the total number of incidents pretty high compared to the other recent decades

More frequent perhaps, but not worse when it comes to magnitute and effect, so my response would have to be no.
