It was just a tech demo to fill the empty Wii U release schedule, it was never meant to be a game imho, either that or they realized it was going to flop just like Star Fox Zero and Project Guard

I'm pretty sure it was officially announced as cancelled by Nintendo. I'm also pretty sure it was unused tech work for Star Fox: Zero.
I remember when people were looking forward to Miyamoto's new IP...
And then after so many years, *that* is what he had to show.
Yeah, it did get cancelled. It honestly looked like a desperate attempt to justify the existence of the Gamepad.

Me too. I was so disappointed...
Hopefully he comes up with something better next time.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
I hope it resurfaces as a Switch game. I had an opportunity to play the demo, and it was a LOT of fun.
It looked terrible, and I'm glad it's been cancelled. Low quality stuff like that will taint a man's legacy, and Miyamoto's was smacked hard after Wii Music and SFZ. We don't need another one.

This. It was just filler to try to show people, "Hey we got games!" when they didn't. Dunno why people clinged to this. It was garbage
