Well I'm an American, and as such, I only ever pay attention to American politics. It's interesting how the whole world seems to know about American stuff, but not vice versa. I had no idea there was a British election taking place, nor that there were so many different political parties.

I felt T.M. was to cocky, so for that reason only I enjoyed her failure but it also worries me that she is going to work with the DUP. Aren't they against Gay marriage/Abortus etc? Or did their opinions change?

He didn't attempt a high five, it was an encouraging pat on the chest! Lying media trying to spin things once again. #hailaltfacts #burntheevilmedia

In all seriousness though, that's probably the one good thing to come out of this election. Too bad he didn't hit her in the face, that would've made the epic fail even more epic.

Yeah that's them and they still have the same views, they're also an offshoot of an extremist group as well so the goes, after falsely accusing Labour of favouring terrorist they've only just gone and decided to bring those linked to terrorists into power. When you consider many Tory voters are older generation of English people who lived through the IRA (the group DUP heavily support) days as well as their attacks on Labour the whole election has ended with this hypocritical debacle.

Don't worry we don't negotiate with terrorists unless it's to save our disastrous election campaign.

Do you even understand the difference between Republicans and Unionists?  I mean its not hard to just google your shit before you start saying they have links to the IRA.

Just look up Ulster Volunteer Force, they was formed to fight the IRA, both are classed as terrorist organisations to be fair, so the DUP do have some links to terrorism but not the way you've been implying.

Shouldn't expect much though, judging by your posts you're utterly clueless.

Um what? The Democratic Unionist Party support the Irish Republican Army?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unionism_in_Ireland

"Unionism in Ireland is a political ideology that favours the continuation of some form of political union between the islands of Ireland and Great Britain. Since the partition of Ireland, unionism in Ireland has focused on maintaining and preserving the place of Northern Ireland within the United Kingdom. In this context, a distinction may be made between the unionism in the province of Ulster and unionism elsewhere in Ireland."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_republicanism

"Irish republicanism is an ideology based on the belief that all of Ireland should be an independent republic. The development of nationalist and democratic sentiment throughout Europe in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries was reflected in Ireland in the emergence of republicanism, in opposition to British rule. This followed hundreds of years of British conquest and Irish resistance through rebellion.Discrimination against Catholics and Non-conformists, attempts by the British administration to suppress Irish culture, and the belief that Ireland was economically disadvantaged as a result of the Act of Union were among the specific factors leading to such opposition."

There is a good portion of Tories who are moderates, hightly doubt they be cool with an overly socially conservative agenda as that would be giving votes to Lib Dems.

I know the difference fine many of these groups originate from the original IRA after the divide after all they were a guerilla group who came together to fight the UK government before they turned on each other due to the treaty. True I did get them mixed up although the UVF killed people at random, orchestrated racist attacks, organized crime and all, I know Arlene Foster has personally has links with UDA leaders and members of UVF still continue their activities even now.

Addressed already got them mixed up with another group, also the Provisional IRA are not the same as the original IRA where a number of these groups came from.

NI politics can be confusing. If they use a 'U' in their initials, they want to be part of the UK. If they have an 'I', they want a united Ireland. The DUP (and the other Us) have never been part of the same group as Sinn Fein/IRA. They've always been on opposing sides.
