It can't be that hard considering every NBA player is desperate for a ring. You said it yourself.

I would have preferred Durant going to the Spurs or Rockets. It would seem less like a move out of desperation.

Now if somehow, some way, the Cavs manage to win this series, I'll forgive Durant. 'til then, I need to see him struggle and lose games with these Warriors before I'm happy seeing him win.

Lebron had to struggle before he could get a ring with the Heat. I want to see Durant do the same.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. I get that others aren't and hey, good for them.

As for me, I'll go watch something else.

Are you choosing not to get the logistics behind the salary cap just so you don't have to admit you don't know what you are talking about? The ability to get that amount of talent on one team AND have them agree to only take a fifth of what they are valued is non-existant. Never mind the rest of the players on the bench would have to be the least valuable players in the NBA. It just doesn't work like that. That situation isn't even comparable to KD's situation considering he's the highest payed one on GSW and KD fits right into GSW like a charm; he's compatible.

So your forgiveness of a situation relies on the outcome of another situation? This is what someone would say if they had a low level of discernment towards any given situation. You need to see him struggle? He's getting points/assists/rebounds and will likely break a couple playoff records, sweats all throughout each game making game ending shots, leaves it all out on the court...but he needs to struggle more?

You are a classic case of someone who judges someone based on the outcome as opposed to their ability. The funny thing is...you are open about it, lol. The cognition of some people, I tell ya.

I'd go watch something else too if I didn't understand what I was watching.

I just don't want to see a big talent like KD win a ring after going to a big team like the Warriors, a historic team that beat KD's Thunder the season prior. I think it encourages talent getting focused on just a few teams resulting in several sweeps like we just did this year's playoffs.

I don't expect them to win it all, but this proves they can take them.  If they can just go the distance they would only be the fourth team to do that.  I just wanted them to play like champions.

I will say this though, the Warriors are horrendous at closing out finals series.   This is the fourth straight deciding game they have lost.

Cavs definitely could've won. Why do you think I chose warriors in 7?

Issue is they cared too late. Unless golden state experiences the most embarassing comeback one again, the Cavs have a lot to reflect on for next season

Definitely true.  Though losing 4 straight deciding games in the finals is cause for the Warriors to reflect as well.  If they keep that kind of closing performance up, their dynasty - should they establish one - will be short lived.

Cavs played great and deserved it but I knew the refs weren't gonna let warriors any chance of winning when they didn't call the backcourt violation on kyrie. That was ridiculous

Yeah - almost as ridiculous as everyone in the stadium being baffled by the sudden change of Draymond Green only having "1" technical.  Give me a break,  sparing Draymond was the most blatantly screwed up thing that actually could have changed the outcome of the game.

Then no need to worry because talent costs money and there is a salary cap on how much money a franchise can spend on its players. Does it make sense to complain about GSW being too good or would it make more sense for others to step up and get better management? GSW are within the same vices as all other NBA teams, GSW just so happened to pull ahead in a very rare way. It's understandable if you don't won't to witness it, but you have to respect talent, skill and ability.

I respect Durant's ability but I do not respect his decision. Also, I'm hoping for less of these sweeps in the next playoffs. Warriors did just that after a dirty play against Leonard. That series should have been a great one if not for the play that sent Leonard out of the playoffs.

It's too late for that.  I can't blame anyone at this point for trying to get on a "super team" because the writing has been on the wall since the Miami Heat collusion paid off.  They know that if they don't jump on the opportunity then someone else will.  The problem isn't with the people who use the system, it's with the people who made the system so that it gets used in this way.  It's even hard to get annoyed with LeBron when he keeps complaining that he doesn't have enough "help" and wants management to buy him another player.

Well a move as big as KD going to the Warriors, a team already so capable they broke the Bulls record, certainly isn't going to help. On the contrary, it'll only encourage super teams even further...

Durant's case I find particularly objectionable. I mean going to the very team that beat his team...

Boosting the Warriors with KD and allowing Green to play in Game 5 is going to make their inevitable Game 7 defeat more epic. Sinking of the Titanic(Warriors) 2.0.
