By not showing Death Stranding, Red Dead, TLoU2, and not announcing Sucker Punch's new IP. And also have bad showings for Days Gone and Detroit (and not giving it a release date)

Honestly, E3 is not a big deal to me. Whether a game is announced there or later, it makes no difference.
But to answer your question, what I don't want to see is much emphasis on indies or 3rd party games like Fifa, cod, etc. Those time exclusives or exclusive dlc get on my nerves. I get why they do it, but I still hate it.
Microsoft: Make the same mistakes with Scorpio that they made with the initial Xbox One. (DRM, $500 to name a few.)
Sony: Not showing footage and/or delaying some big games such as God of War, Gran Turismo, and RDR2. Also, no official trailer for Last of Us 2.
Nintendo: Not showing any Switch games for 2018 or beyond.

Atlus could reveal SMTV to be another shonen friendship-fest.
Nintendo could- well they could do a lot of things.
Capcom could not announce Nintendo vs. Capcom.

Ugh. Also throw in Spider-Mans release date and I am right there with you. I've been craving more footage from that for so long now. |
I guess you can throw that in as well. I am not really that interested in spider man. I might get it but it's certainly not in my list of must have or hyped for games. Plus I don't think it's a big possibility that they don't show it, as it would capitalise on the hype for the movie.
Nintendo - announce no or very little new 3rd party titles
Sony - announce no or very little new 1st party titles
Microsoft - announce no or very little new 1st party titles
Nintendo not showing big ips but small games and too many indies. Also showing games that are already out on other consoles.
Microsoft now announcing any new ip.
Sony not giving release dates and saving too many games for Gamescon or PSX.
Sony - focusing too much on Battlefront 2 and COD WW2, I understand they're huge games, but Sony has a ton of its own games to show.
Microsoft - $499 Scorpio.
Nintendo - no news on virtual console, nothing really new announced aside from more Wii U ports and old 3rd-party games.
Sony - Focusing on indies
MS - Focusing on indies
Nintendo - Focusing on indies
