Forums - Gaming Discussion - What would make you buy a Scorpio at launch?

If microsoft has a price point of $499 without games the Scorpio launch wont make any kind of splash at E3. I might just invest in a PC id I dont get a scorpio. Its future proof and Microsoft has their exclusives on it. Microsoft has less of a n allure when it has a smaller library of games and a higher price point for a premium product when people will want deals.

No, no matter how good it is, a single game is never a reason for me to buy a console at launch. For many people they may be as you say, but I personally would and will never get a console at launch. It's just not worth the price of admission at that point as far as I'm concerned.

What are your most beloved games and sought after games? What if one of those came exclusively to Scorpio?

What if hypothetically Half-Life 3 came exclusively for Scorpio, or GTA6 or something similar huge?

Still wouldn't get one at launch. I can wait until the price drops and the console has some other games I want as well. If a game I really want was made exclusive to the Scorpio and came to it at launch I would probably get the console at some point then, but it would most likely be at least a year after its release.

If it came with a carton of Marlboro Reds, a bottle of Jack, a bottle of Chuck Norris' tears, and Harambe's side of the story.

Pc upgrades make more sense now so nothing.

4 ≈ One

Already getting it on day one but better VR than PSVR would sweeten the deal.

Games.

I don't care if it even has a GTX 1080 inside of it for $499. The library is simply lacking- even the Switch's first year looks much more promising

I think Switch has a poor first years' lineup, however, at least it's getting more Japanese games. So yes, Switch beats it by a small margin. It's really sad, but Xbox has almost nothing I'd want.

The Scorpio specs look brilliant - a real generational leap but if the software doesn't improve and the price is over $499 US they will have a big flop on their hands.
IMO Microsoft would have been better waiting until 2018/2019, admitting the XBox One is dead and deliver a whole new system....

I wouldn't call it a real generational leap over an Xbox One/Playstation 4...

But it is the kind of performance I would have preffered this console generation to start at.

Besides non-first party titles, Switch actually has potential

Breath of the Wild

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

ARMS

Splatoon 2

Xenoblade 2

Fire Emblem Warriors

Super Mario Odyssey

Mario/Rabbids

Additional unannounced games

Add in third party support which is actually good for once (thank god for Dragonball), and Switch has addressed the Wii U's issues. While it had a slow start, it seems to have paid off
