Rip indie devs?

I think Rime counts as Indie. I really hope Switch gets more good Indie games, but it seems like Nintendo is the last thought on the minds of Indie devs.

What?The Switch is an afterthought?lol

So far the Switch has excellent indie support, probably at the same level as the PS4.As for games that are 80+ in the Switch, pretty sure there are more than 10 already.Im on my phone so I cant really check out, but its as simple as going to metacritic to check that if you are interested.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Have you tried, I don't know Metacritic??

http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/release-date/all-time/switch/metascore

Haha, I didn't catch that. I use Opencritic these days. I just put metacritic in my threads, because that's what everybody knows these days.

Well, I looked up OpenCritic, and they also already have 13 games over 80:

http://opencritic.com/browse?page=0&sort=score&platforms=%5B32%5D&genres=%5B%5D&date=Released

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

I made a horrible mistake when I decided to include indies in this thread. I was clueless as to the amount of indies the system was getting.

well this was an easy one.

30+

For comparison - lifetime:
Wii U has 62 games
PS4 has 213
Xbox One has 134

Are we talking exclusives or just games in general, because if the 2nd one there's already more than 20 good games so far on the Switch, whether out now or later in the year.

I am now changing the criteria to games with a physical release only. Also, only games published by Nintendo and only games that have established franchises. So now Arms, and Indies arbitrarily don't count. Also, the game can't be a port of another game on another system. Finally, it has to get a metascore of 82 or above (81 or above if rated low by Jim Sterling.)

Given how many votes there already are, seems a little late to change the criteria. And your changes, especially the one focused on established franchises, seem rather abritrary. It also goes way too far into the other extreme: I don't think Nintendo has ever released over 30 packaged titles in a year in the last decade, let alone a console's first year.

But heck, doesn't affect me, I already voted.

Games that start with Q and end in Z also don't count.
