There were some pleasant surprises this year, but nothing that changed what my top two picks were. If anything, Fire Emblem Warriors actually lost a bit of my interest, due to its focus on 3DS-era and original characters over anyone from Jugdral, Elibe, Tellius, etc. At least EO5 looks as great as ever. Metroid: Samus Returns would be ranked higher up, but I'm worried about the developer's track record.
