Zelda will make insane numbers lifetime. It will do well till the Switch dies.
It will easily surpass 10 million in less than 2 years. It will get some bumps once new Zelda games come out.

Anyway, just really glad Zelda is doing so well and its not only a good sign for the franchise but for every core Nintendo franchise. I think Nintendi doesn't have to fear using new ideas and new franchises anymore with how easily they can market a game on Switch.

I think we will see more bold moves from them during Switch lifetime. Like even Arms is passed 1.5 millions by now this is maybe little compare to juggernauts but for a new fighting franchise with new gameplay, that's huge.

Its showing good news for Metroid Prime 4 and Bayo 3 and hopefully more hardcore and mature games like this. Would love to have a more dark atmosphere Zelda game for the next one.

My thoughts exactly. it will easily surpass 10m this year combined. And I also want a darker, more sinister Zelda next time. As much as I loved BotW's style, I loved the creepiness of Majora's and Twilight so much that I'd like to see that again next time. It would be glorious, and I think now the time is right for it: they're now are familiar with HD development and huge open world development, and Switch is decently more powerful than Wii U, which was already able to run a beautiful and complex game like BotW.  So I think they can pull it nicely.

Exactly!!!! I think the franchise is due for a more darker episode with the last 2 being Botw and SS. I loved Botw's artstyle and i think it's the best one yet for the franchise. But i just like the story line and atmosphere better when it's more creepy Zelda. I would be surprised if they do another cell-shading game since they like to change thinks up.

Well while it isn't creepy, what story there is in Breath of the Wild can be pretty dark.  It's just the story takes a pretty significant back seat.  I think a Zelda that zooms in on that more serious, occasionally grim tone with a greater story focus while retaining the more freeing gameplay of BotW would be a great way to follow up on BotW.

Agreed. Botw's mechanics and physic engine just opens up so many possibilities that i can't wait to see them push even further in the next game. I dream of a Zelda like Botw but maybe a little smaller and more into the story like you said and not the one from the past. Even tho i loved the fact it was different i  Botw. Also when i say dark i mean the enemies and some areas and towns not just the theme. I dont think there was anything creepy in Botw but its ok it didn't need to be. Just that i would like it in the next one.

I agree with you both. It would be interesting if the next game is still open world, maybe a bit smaller, but with some interesting sidequest stories and a bit more focus on the main story... all of that with a more tense atmosphere like Majora's and Twilight. If those games were as immersive and creepy as they were sometimes, I can't begin to imagine how it would be with today's technology.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

And i think it could use a new villain too. I feel like the main think that was redondant from Botw's story was Ganon and how it was not used at all. As much as i loved the atmosphere in Botw from the world itself, towns, etc, i didn't feel any treat coming from Ganon if you know what i mean. Like yes it was scary at first when you first step into the fields but at mid game i was just saying to myself "well i would go but i want to enjoy the game still". I didn't have any moments of doubt as if i was ready for the battle and i feel like it's super important for a game that was also challenging sometimes.

So i think they should really use a darker Zelda game with a more modern hardware and Zelda format that focus more on the villain and how powerful it is. Cause in some point, Calamity ganon didn't do anything, it was all the creations it gave life to like the guardians which were terrifying in the cutscenes.

Anyway, i could go on forever about this :p

Its insane how much BotW sells. The graphs start to look really silly. TP does not stand a chance.

Thanks for your work! And yeah, it’s starting to look silly. At this point it seems clear that BotW Switch will outsell TP combined. Maybe even this year...
