Numbers are looking much higher than I ever predicted. This game could easily be at 10m shipped by the end of it's first full year.

I wouldn't say 10m easily, but 9m~9.5m is definitely a possibility.

And yeah, it's amazing to see Zelda doing huge numbers like that, also knowing the game has been charting on the eshop since it's release.
BotW slaying TP by so much shows also how much more accepted by gamers the Switch is compared to the Wii back in the day imo

But it also shows that BotW transcended what people expect from Zelda. It’s so evolved and different that it’s attracting more people that never cared for the franchise.
