Apparently the cold hard data says otherwise as it's Mechanica who has the best win percentage.

Surprising! I never saw too many Mechanicas so the few that were playing the character must of put in the work!

Any percentages on win ratios?

No further specifics unfortunately. All Nintendo said was Mechanica best winrate and Ninjara most used followed by Min Min.

Min Min was my go-to girl for the testpunches. Great to hear she was 2nd place.

Mechanica was alright, but I preferred the speedier characters because my favourite strategy is jump-time-throw. Most players don't seem to know how to deal with throws, so currently a very strong strategy is to jump, time it correctly so they're throwing a punch or something, then throw, and you'll crush them. I've had a lot of perfects and near perfects with this strategy.

Why is Mechanica so high? It's because she does well in multiplayer, she deals a lot more damage when throwing, and multiplayer matches don't have the same level of advantage for the speedier characters to time throws. In 1 vs 1, she's not that great. I'm growing fond of Ribbon Girl because when doing jump+throws, it's easy to throw a punch to hit/block your opponent and recover quickly for your next attempt. I still prefer using Min Min because she does a lot better in a wider variety of situations, and she's good at hitting pretty much anything.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I wouldn't make a habbit of doing that as you're gonna find that strategy ineffective against more experienced players.

Mechanica actually has the second weakest throw with 160 damage. I'd say it's more her good mobility + super armor that players aren't prepared for. People tend to jump a lot, but characters like Ninjara n Min Min have no way of charging their punches while in midair so they're susceptible to the super armor. I certainly abuse this when I play as Mechanica hehe.

Well, I was wrong. I gave Mechanica a go during the late night one, and she was a lot better than I thought because of that rapid fire weapon she has, which makes it easy to overwhelm all of the smaller characters. With that strategy, the battles weren't even close. I use the hammer when fighting the larger ones.

But she is not as fun, otherwise, as the other characters.

And yeah, once players figure out how to deal with throws (like mechanics' spamming, makes throws unlikely to get through), then other strategies will replace it, but right now it is very easy to jump into position then throw, and I would say a good 19 out of 20 players have a lot of trouble against this, so right now it is my favourite strategy for winning.

After doing some research I'm actually wrong about grab damage. I've been reading it incorrectly as most characters do quick hits that deal 60 dmg then the actual throw itself does 150, so 210 total, but nope, 150 is the total dmg from the grab. That makes a lot more sense lol. So Mechanica does have an above average damage grab, but only by 10 so not too big a deal.

I fought mechanicas... let me tell you. I only won against bad ones....
