Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch will allow for “a completely different Fire Emblem”

probably no 2d at all. still turn based but the battle field is just like one big 3d map

Yeah, I hope that they take another stab at the Valkyria Chronicles approach to turn based combat with the next Fire Emblem even after Codename STEAM disappointed in sales.  That style of gameplay seems like a natural progression from the standard 2D grid-based model that Fire Emblem has been using for close to 30 years.

Speaking of it am I the only one that thinks Intelligent Systems had a CRAZY software output in the last few years? For a team with 140 developers they've released like 1/2 games a year + collaborations

Table top multiplayer, with more fast paced battles, pop off the Joycons and battle your friend, kinda like a game of chess.

I hope they will show this at E3, along with other work that's coming to switch, the 2 radiant games are my favourites

Other than the Mallo games, they've released [western releases in brackets]:

2012 - Fire Emblem: Awakening [2013]

2013 - Game & Wario

2015 - Code Name: STEAM, Fire Emblem: Fates [2016], TMS #FE [2016]

2016 - Paper Mario: Sticker Star

I'd say it's just about right for a team that's 140 members large.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

TMS was Atlus

Please no more waifus and animu portraits, that's what Persona is for :^)

Echoes has nailed it so far as a remake, but I'm open to whatever change they have in mind.

"Switch will allow for “a completely different Fire Emblem”"

^ only if its exclusive to the Switch, otherwise it ll be a 3DS game with upres graphics only.

What would really be that amazing? You make it like all the other ones, fun. Being a hybrid wouldn't make that cooler.
