Reminds me of a somewhat famous quote (usually - but possibly incorrectly - attributed to Ignazio Silone) that goes along the lines of:

"If fascism ever returns, it will not say: "I am the fascism!", it will say: "I am the anti-fascism!""

The left has no arguments, so it uses violence. The same happens in Europe.

I wasn't defending your girlfriend's great uncle or his actions but I was pointing out the flip side of that which people are more likely to do and overlook.

Alright, well I can respect that. I agree with you too. People should not vote for people based on their sex, gender, religion, race, etc. In my opinion, it should be on policy. That and long term cause and effect. I feel as though the concept of cause and effect has been lost to many people in America. Instead short-term benefit is king here right now. I cant stand it. However, thats a topic for another day
