I asked you why you would rather not have this optional feature, not why some other people would rather have it. Although to me it is a lot more understandable to prefer to have the option of that feature than to prefer to not have that option.

Do you really need popcorn to enjoy a movie? Why not go to movie theatres that don't have a bar?

The bar is where you buy the snacks and the drinks. Pretty sure you've seen it before.

Would you rather go to a theatre where you are unable to buy snacks and drinks?

I've always known those as a snack bar. Definition on what that is, is based on where you live.

It's actually a perfect comparison to achievements in videogames. In both cases the consumer gets to choose to have something supplementary to the main experience. Nobody is obliged to have a snack or enable achievements, but many people like so it is a no-brainer to give people that choice instead of making that choice for them.

What you are saying just doesn't make any sense.
