PS4 is about flat YOY right? Maybe even up a little. I don't think Switch can manage 17 million this year, so I'd guess PS4.

COD, Fifa, Star wars battlefront 2, Assassins Creed and who knows what gets announced during E3. As for Sony themselves GT sport, Uncharted the lost legacy and maybe Detroit or/and Spiderman. |
That's it?

That only tells me that PS4 users are too young to own a credit card, unlike Switch owners. ;) And no, sales are not dropping, it's supply constrained. How is it extremely dated in software or specs lol? How can software (games) be dated? They outscore most PS4 games. Do you know a more powerful handheld out there? |
Because of inflated review scores proven by Disagea 5 & Thumper. PS games don't get the luxury of 'soft' reviews.

In Fiscal year 2007 (April 1, 2007 - March 31, 2008) Nintendo was able to sell 23.56 million DS systems and 5.84 million Wii systems, for a total of 29.4 million systems sold. It was even higher in fiscal-year 2008 (48.92 million). Now, say what you will about sales and the economy, but these numbers show that Nintendo is able to produce a significant amount of units in a year. Far more than 15-16 million (which both the DS and WIi beat until 2012). |
whatever you say, chances are on the ps4 side.... switch will not sell more than ps4, or at the very least this is extremily ulikely, and nintendo will not be able to produce enough switches to beat sony in 2017. Nintendo has already made a forecast of 10 million switch in 1 year, believing they will exceed that estimate in 70-80% ... realy?

Even without stock problems, 17 might be pushing it. We'll never know.

They were able to ship 18 millions Wii in it's first full fiscal year, even with major shortages all year long. But as you say, we never know. 14 or 15 might be closer to reality. But the Switch doesn't need to hit the 18 mark to sell more. I know they're not targeting the same market, but it's crazy to think that tge PS4 and the are not competitors, if Nintendo's console can keep it's momentum, it will start to affect PS4 sales.
