I swear they built this game from the ground up and then shrunk it down to fit on the 3DS. There's no way 3DS can handle a 3D model as detailed as the wyvern in the top picture. They must have done high poly models first, and then baked the rest of the geometry onto lower poly models. Honestly it's impressive that they were able to get this game running on 3DS at all.

Very similar situation to Tri vs 3U. It's some solid texture work and image quality enhancements, it's just the base state of it on a polygon level is holding it back. Similar to Twilight Princess HD. Now this looks better than 3U, due to the fact XX is better looking on a technical level than Tri, but it still shows. I think it looks nice for what it is and I may well make this my first MonHun game. But I am much more interested in what the future holds with a MonHun built specifically for the Switch.

Anyway neither look good but it's toobe expected because it's a 3DS port. Hopefully MH5 is built from the ground up for the Switch. That would be impressive by the series standards.  

And if they want to milk the 3DS audience one last time just release another MH 3DS rehash.  Cost effective and would be very profitable.

The game looks like shit... Im really sorry but Capcom needs to make them on a new game engine.
