And you can still do that, have you not played with non-motion yet? I don't see how the design of the game changes the fact that pushing a button is faster and more reliable than waving a stick.

If you are waving it around, you're doing it wrong. That is why you are having problems.

You're gonna have bigger problems if you hold it still lol. Like I've said, I don't have a problem with them for this game, but that doesn't mean the inherent disadvantages to motion controls don't still exist.

My hype's dampened a little. Still getting it at launch though. Motion for punching and curving is good but I'd prefer thumbsticks for movement.

3-ways are my favourite mode. Standing completely still and picking up the win at the end is dirty but hilarious.

Your type are the type I go after. Watch out for me.

Very interesting.  Control preferences pretty evenly split.  Looking good for ARMS though with 80% of respondents saying they are getting the game

It also feels like it's very hard to win just by connecting on punches, it mostly becomes a battle to who gets their throws in and then using your special attack for the KO.

I'm a bit sad that I have to wait one week, but my impressions are pretty positive. I found it surprisingly deep and strategic.

Seems people are starting to get the hang of this game! A lot less spamming and a lot more thoughtful play today, they've figured out how V-Ball works, and my teammates aren't jumping in front of my rush attacks or hitting me in the back as much.

Basketball will be replacing Volleyball next week! At first I thought the mode was just gonna be a grab spam fest, but there's actually another way to score. Knocking your opponent into the springboards lining the edge of the court will send them flying to the basket, so the depth of this mode should actually be comparable to regular fighting.

Oh, cool! I was wondering if we would get to try that.
