I was on the fence about getting it because I traditionally dont love handheds, but end up getting them when they are around 99-129 dollars, so 300 dollars for what at least appeared to me that was a handheld you could play on the TV was a tough sell.
Now I own one I just feel impressed by it. I did the gamestop bundle thing and got it delievered 6 days after I ordered it, came with Mario Kart, Pro Controller, and a set of wheels.
1. The joy pad is great, ya it is no DS4, but the sheer flexiblity of it is amazing. My 6 year old only wants to use the joy pad controller to play mario kart( and she is kicking ass, already 4 gold trophies on 50cc, proud gamer daddy here)
2. The Pro controller is the 2nd best nintendo controller ever. Behind the Gamecube control (god that was such a good controller).
3. Screen quality is wonderful, touch is precise (issue I had with Nintendo touch screens in past is they felt cheap, and inconsistent, not the case here)
Basic summation. The Switch is the perfect alt console for a core gamer and all you really need for gaming if you are a light gamer. Taking the kids to Disney world next week and I am very glad for the Switch's flexibily. Already have a plan to put the screen on the back of the seat and let them play the whole way there.
I beat Disegea 5 for PS4, but I am tempted to get it for Switch, that game seems like it would be perfect on switch as a nice time killer.
PS- Snip n Clips (came with bundle) is a decent little game. It is kinda like an IQ test question put into game form.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
