Forums - General Discussion - Was the Capcom article about SF mistranslated?

When posts around the internet came saying Capcom will determine support based off SF, I felt skeptical. After seeing Monster Hunter being announced, my doubts grew much more.

I can't find the article many posts were referring to, but I feel as though the wrong message was spread around. Perhaps SF will reflect the popularity of old ports, or may simply be an observation of how a game like it will do.

I wouldn't get too excited. All they announced was a port of a game that has already been on the market (not like a brand new Monster Hunter game).

Yes, it was.

There's a fairly good chance this is leading in to Monster Hunter 5 for Switch.

3DS got a port of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate first, before getting Monster Hunter 4.

Yea but Wii U got MH3 Ultimate as well, and didn't get 4.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

The Wii U flopped though- I don't blame anyone for abandoning it.

Unless all goes wrong, the Switch seems to be capable of doing well. I think my original prediction of 50-60 million will be met.
