Yes.

The vita tried that

I dont see how Vita has anuthing with Switch, Switch offers full AAA games in handheld mode, Switch also offers local multiplayer out of box even in handheld mode, tabletop mode and full home console experience in same time, Vita is fail while Switch seems it will be quite successful.

This seems like a good place to put it, but EA just revealed that there will be switches at their conference to show off FIFA. That could potential he be a pretty big deal. If that is indicative of some sort of marketing deal for the game, that would be a very big boon for Nintendo in terms of increasing popularity in Europe, and changing their brand perception. Nintendo and EA can very easily make the switch the home for FIFA, and therefore actually help them compete against the PS4 there, which they clearly need help doing.

I disagree, Nintendo is a console generation behind in technology and has next to no online infrastructure..... not even any compatibility with bluetooth Mics or mics for chatting in game or cross game..... why would people buy a switch for FIFA, because it's going to give u the PS3 game on the go?

FIFA on PS4 will sell millions even if they don't market it. It might be smart to invest more in marketing for the Switch now, so that it gets popular on both consoles. People who buy it for Switch won't be the big FIFA fans, but mostly Switch players who don't have a PS4 and who are interested in football (like my brother).

It would get more than "decent sales" if Nintendo strikes an exclusive marketing deal with them. Under that circumstance, it would be easy to understand. That's how marketing deals work. You pay money to get brand association. That the kind of stuff that sells games on systems.

The thing is, I doubt it's worth the money. MS tried and it hasn't worked, and I also doubt Nintendo could turn things around concerning FIFA and PS

In what situation has associative marketing not worked? What do you think the goal is? It's not to make the PS4/XBO versions sell bad; it's just a tactic to make FIFA look like it belongs on the Switch. That doesn't exist with Nintendo. It worked with PS4 when they did it with Destiny and CoD. People look at Nintendo systems and think "this is not where people buy sports game." The only point of associative marketing is to change that perception. The biggest reason some games don't sell well on Nintendo consoles is because the only types of games marketed for it are colorful japanese games, so people only buy them to play those games. Having every Fifa commercial show the game being played on the Switch and ending with the Switch logo would do a huge job in changing that.

You're deliberately refusing to observe if you honestly believe the PS4 didn't get to where it is today primerily because of this kind of marketing.

I get the point, you're right

Fairly close between One and PS4 in NA, not so close worldwide... Switch holding, still pent up demand in Japan and NA and a few European markets. We should start to see a proper baseline once this has settled, really hard to tell where that will land but it should be pretty good.

Gosh, we're only 6 weeks behind on hardware sales. That must be some kind of record in recent years. I can't remember the last time we were this up to date.

Still won't have US numbers for May by NPD day though.

3DS sales are holding up pretty well. I wonder if some people are walking in to shops looking for a Switch, finding nt stock and walking out with a 3DS.

Wii U sales fallen off a ledge. Can't say fallen off a cliff, since they were never that high to begin with. But only still selling in 4 figures in Europe. Curious.

If they can find one ( As of April ) ...

* As for the discontinued wii u sales in Europe, don't be surprised, currently the most of the remaining stock ( under 50k-60k )  is there!

Why hasn't the Switch been added to the total sold chart yet? http://www.vgchartz.com/embeds/worldwide_totals.png?a=115
