This seems like a good place to put it, but EA just revealed that there will be switches at their conference to show off FIFA. That could potential he be a pretty big deal. If that is indicative of some sort of marketing deal for the game, that would be a very big boon for Nintendo in terms of increasing popularity in Europe, and changing their brand perception. Nintendo and EA can very easily make the switch the home for FIFA, and therefore actually help them compete against the PS4 there, which they clearly need help doing.

On the other hand, they seperated FIFA 18 and FIFA Switch on the PR. If the Switch gets a last gen version or misses content, I hope EA doesn't go complaining about the power of the Switch or how little games they sell on it.

Hopefully there are huge lines for the Switch FIFA booth and they see the potential.

I don't think that will matter if the game is marketed the right way, which is my point.

I disagree, Nintendo is a console generation behind in technology and has next to no online infrastructure..... not even any compatibility with bluetooth Mics or mics for chatting in game or cross game..... why would people buy a switch for FIFA, because it's going to give u the PS3 game on the go

Yes.

I'm sure it will get decent sales, what I wouldn't understand is EA trying to change focus from PS4 to Switch as main FIFA platform. I guess theyv'e done it with Xbox but I guess MS paid a LOT and it still gets way better sales on PS4

To me at least Playstation and FIFA/PES have a VERY strong relationship

It would get more than "decent sales" if Nintendo strikes an exclusive marketing deal with them. Under that circumstance, it would be easy to understand. That's how marketing deals work. You pay money to get brand association. That the kind of stuff that sells games on systems.

The thing is, I doubt it's worth the money. MS tried and it hasn't worked, and I also doubt Nintendo could turn things around concerning FIFA and PS

Hmm, the Switch seems to still be selling fairly well, I hope that means that it won't be too hard to find stock when I try to get one.

Gamespot dropped the total price of their bundle from 500 to 400 this week, that should mean supply is getting closer to nearing demand.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Another thing to take note of is that the switch is selling significantly worse in Japan than it is in the United States. For all of us who thought Japan would eat the switch up, there is definitely some rethinking to do as to how much.

NPD numbers for April tells us that Switch sold 280k in US, and Famitsu numbers said us that Switch sold around 200k in April in Japan. Also take note that NPD reported that Switch is stock restricted and that would sell more if they are more units available, also we know that in Japan week shipments are getting sold out very fast, and things did not changed even now in May, available units are getting sold out very fast.

Stop making up consoles that don't exist

FIFA on Switch will have a Mario Soccer mode ... just a prediction.
