It's no surprise there is stock: if I understand things correctly, the cheapest Switch on that page costs 3545 krone which is about 534 dollars as of this post!

https://www.bing.com/search?q=3545+krone+dollars&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&pq=3545+krone+dollars&sc=0-18&sk=&cvid=19A08BE056F043A4844AE76544FFC677

Compared to a vanilla PS4's price of 1490 or 1990 krone (225 or 300 dollars respectively) ( https://www.prisjakt.no/category.php?k=1707#rparams=ss=ps4 ) a Switch is very expensive.

Now I'm no economics major but I'm going to say things in high demand tend to fetch a higher price than usual and that's something we're seeing in the US for example where Switch units are marked up by about 100 or so dollars as of this post, sometimes even more.

Maybe the laws of supply and demand work differently in Norway? What say you Tmfwang?

Well, 3545NOK equals 422USD actually :) That is including taxes :)

Hmm, I may have gotten Danish and Norwegian krone confused with one-another then in previous calculations.

Tmfwang said:

Its actually not that bad :) Same price as the PS4 was at launch :)

Which is still a mark-up in price since the Switch is supposed to be selling at about $300 but here we are seeing prices higher than that.

As you can maybe see as well, the Switch is the 3rd (on prisjakt.no) most popular product on prisjakt, if that means anything.

Actually I can't see. I can't read Norwegian but I did run across this page: https://www.prisjakt.no/category.php?k=401&o=lokal_rank

I can't speak Norwegian but it seems for now, Switch is most popular even as inflated as the price may be. Popularitet is the Norwegian word for popularity yes?

Popularitet means popularity yes :)

Switch was #1 most popular of all online products in Norway the first 2ish months after its launch, then it fell to #3.

in comparison the PS4 was #1 of all online products from its launch through the entire year of 2014.

Edit: That link you posted only has the most popular within that exact category, here you can view top 100 of all items:

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=234612&page=1

I think people are forgetting the NS is still a pretty young console. barring stock issues I still expect it to beat the PS4 everywhere (including EU).

Unlike most talking about stock issues, I am more interested in seeing what baseline the switch has after its first holiday season. So basically NS sales around this time next year.

I agree.

One system JUST launched, the other is at the peak of its pwoers. PS4 had gotten almost all of its big games out there, Switch knly hss 2.

Even if the PS4 is flat or slightly up YoY this year, next uear is when we are going to see a noticeable drop. At the same time the Switch will be taking off towards its real potential. Think about all of these following games that are coming later down the line (Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter 5, Pokemon Gen 8, togo along with Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey.)

PS4 is only delaying the inevitable, sooner or later the Switch gonna get'cha.

Plenty of stock here in europe.

It'd be nice if the UK did though, the only places that you can get a Switch at retail price let you pre-order one and then put you on a waiting list. Although at least Amazon UK is finally recieving more stock tomorrow, but then it'll go right back out of stock soon afterwards most likely.

Really? Not looking hard enough. Shopto have them always in stock.

Well that ends it. PS4 won. It will be hard for the Switch to stay ahead when the PS4 and X1 get 2-3 big games a week it seems. Switch is getting that a month.

So unless Nintendo seriously changes things, the Switch will never be top dog on a continuing basis.

The only thing they need to change right now is their production capacity. That's why the PS4 pulled ahead this week.

Signature goes here!

You do realise that Switch would easily won this week if there are not still stock problems for Switch!?

Think about all these following games that are coming later down the line (for PS4):

Tekken 7, Crash Bandicoot: N Sane Trilogy, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Destiny 2, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Call of Duty WW2, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Gran Turismo Sport, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Detroit: Become Human, Vampyr, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Spider-Man, The Last of Us 2, Far Cry 5, Days Gone, God of War, Psychonauts 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Death Stranding, Kingdom Hearts 3, Darksiders 3, Shenmue 3, Dreams, Project Cars 2, Wild, Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, Everybody's Golf,.... and tons and tons more.

Its not like the nintendo switch has more "big" titles comeing than the PS4 does, or the only one with a bright future still ahead of it.
