Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm merely surprised. I figured my post on how unimpressive it is that the Pro has only managed to slightly slow a global decline would have at least made my position clear on the subject. Or perhaps I wasn't included in this reference. That's my stance though; I'm genuinely unimpressed by the PS4 Pro and the PS4 and its performance overall on a global scale, when compared to the expectations and hyperbole of certain users, the immense lack of competition and the fairly reasonable pricing throughout its cycle thus far. Relatively speaking, it's not doing nearly as amazing as many would have it.

I guess it was a misreading of your post combined with kerotan's post that gave me that impression.

I assumed previously that the Pro would be doing well in the West, if it's doing worse there than in Japan (relative to the regular or slim models) it must be somewhat disappointing for Sony.

Yeah, that's the bit that surprises me; Japan as a market has shown an overall move towards convenience in the past decade, the PS4 Pro having a better ratio of sales there goes against this trend somewhat. It's not incredible or anything, but for me it's quite unexpected. Then again; the Japanses market has a much higher ratio of 4K TV sets as well, this could very well explain the majority of the difference. I honestly don't know, but I like mysteries in a global market that has once again become a bit predictable!

Nice Legs for Nier might reach 400K physical.

This will be boring until Ninty replenish the stocks of Switch and the release of Tekken 7 and Arms.

Readily available? I seriously hope you aren't trying to say Switch is readily available in the U.K.? If you actually read the article, you will see the ONLY stock available in the U.K. was due to a massive restock today! Most are already sold out and what little are left will be probably sold out in the time it next takes the site to refresh.

So that's 2 of your "theories" debunked, 2 to go!

Istocknow begs to differ:

http://www.istocknow.com/product/switch

Currently available in 209 Argos stores. Argos has had stock for weeks now.

Also, which article are you talking about?

I'm referring to your link. You do know there a ton of Argos stores in the U.K. right? Also, it hasn't been "in stock in Argos for weeks" either. You do know how these things work do you? Argos will get limited stock in some stores. It will sell out quickly, then maybe a few days or weeks they will get more stock in some stores , then rinse and repeat. Tbh, even your cherry picking doesn't work here.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Please refrain from replying to lawlight. The thread is being derailed and I've already told him to knock it off.

Ok, fair enough. In this instance, he doesn't hardly seem worth responding to. He certainly looks like he's trolling.

Somewhat nice to see Nintendo back dominating Japan.

Increased Switch production was visible in March when they shipped 700k units more than initially planned.

No, those extra 700k units were shipped via airplane at end of March, and they are most likely units that meant to be shipped for post launch sales.

Increasing production requires time (espacily doubling production) it can't be done over night.

I hope you're not including AU, UK, Italy and Mexico in the everywhere category. Even the US has the Switch easily available.

Yes in AU and in Italy is available, but that isn't case for US, Japan, UK and some other European countries and you clearly talking nonsense.

Switch wouldn't have price of $425 on Amazon US if is "easily available".

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nintendo+switch&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Anintendo+switch

I already posted the link for the UK. It is readily available at Argos and Amazon UK.

And the Switch has a price of $390 on Amazon US, not $425. On top of that, istocknow shows the Switch available at 650 Walmarts, 212 targets and 32 Gamestops. While not readily available in the US, it is available. Which is why most posters here already have a Switch (those who wanted one).
